Michael Vargas
Michael joined Lincoln Strategy Group in August of 2005. Michael has in-depth experience in guerilla and street team marketing and promotions. Additionally, Michael has helped manage our firm’s grassroots campaign efforts across the country and helps oversee the business and HR needs of our large campaign clients.
Prior to joining LSG, Michael served in the U.S. Marines and was deployed to Iraq with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in 2003. Soon after serving in the Marines, Michael moved Tempe, Arizona to go to school at Arizona State University. In 2007, Michael volunteered to go to Afghanistan with the 158th Infantry from Arizona, where he was part of a Provincial Reconstruction Team. Michael’s personal military awards include the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal.
He also has experience in the energy sector from working at the National Energy and Technology Laboratory at the Department of Energy in Pittsburgh where he was a Mickey Leland Energy Fellow. Michael is a member of the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance and the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans where he was awarded for being a military scholar.
Michael also participates in the Operation Tribute to Freedom Public Affairs Program. He has been interviewed by local media outlets such as Fox 10 News and 92.3 KTAR and has been quoted in the East Valley Tribune and the Arizona Republic.
Michael helped start one of LSG’s business partnering organizations: ACTIVAR Employment Solutions, which recruits and employs recent veterans returning home from their tours of duty over sees. ACTIVAR helps staff many of LSG’s large scale Grassroots efforts.
