Rico joined Lincoln Strategy Group in May of 2016 after spending over 12 years in the hospitality and gaming industry. He has over 16 years experience in federal and state campaigns in Arizona, New Mexico, Maryland, Nevada and Iowa along with corporate development and referendum management in Missouri, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York and Iowa. Rico has spent extensive time in corporate government relations, PAC management, labor relations, new jurisdiction development and corporate social responsibility. He built the largest political action committee (PAC) in the gaming industry while at Caesars, and launched the award- winning employee engagement and political education program Winning Together, as well as extensive experience in corporate community relations, non-profit foundations, employee engagement efforts, development, crisis communications management and corporate environmental sustainability programs at both Wynn Resorts, LTD and Caesars Entertainment, Inc. Rico also helped develop and launch the Grand Canyon University MPA program in 2010 as GCU’s subject matter expert, and adjunct faculty.
Ulrico graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Master of Public Administration in 2009. Immediately after graduating from college in 1999 from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, Rico served in Vice President Al Gore’s west wing office as an aide. Rico is active in local non profit and civic engagement boards, and served as an inaugural board member on the newly launched Wynn Employee Foundation in 2015 during his tenure at Wynn Resorts, LTD in Las Vegas, NV. Rico lives in Phoenix with his wife Jessica, their 3 miniature schnauzers and their 2 horses.
